We started in a Székesfehérvár workshop in 1994, with eleven people and a single client. Today we employ 480+ specialists, deliver to plants in six CEE countries, and the one thing that has not changed is our approach.
In 1994, Gábor Horváth left the comfortable job at a socialist industrial company and founded a small machine assembly business in his wife's garage. The first machine was a packaging line — it took half a year, and was ordered by a local chemical company. They paid. That was Nordexa.
In the first decade we grew organically: not because we were aggressively market-driven, but because our clients spread the word through referrals. A good machine works for years — and the production manager who was satisfied with our work would, two years later at another plant, say "call Nordexa".
In 2003 we opened our first independent manufacturing hall in Székesfehérvár. By 2008 we had received ISO 9001 certification. By 2012 the export ratio had reached 40%. Today the six-country CEE client base accounts for more than half of orders — but our machines are still made where they were thirty years ago: in Székesfehérvár.
We are a mid-size company — intentionally. Large enough to deliver serious projects; small enough that the CEO's phone number is public and when you call, we pick up.
"I never wanted to build a big company. I wanted one where I would also be proud of what we ship."
— Gábor Horváth, founder and CEO
Not slogans on a wall — these are the principles by which we actually measure our decisions.
We only promise what we can deliver. If a project is too complex for our capacity, we decline rather than deliver a half-result.
Every machine we design is built to work for 15–20 years. This costs more than the cheap option — but our clients return because they know it is true.
We do not disappear after handover. The lifecycle contract is not just an offer — it is the way we take responsibility for what we have built.
Other manufacturers show a catalogue. We carry out a needs assessment. The best solution is the one that fits your plant — not the one easiest to manufacture.
Every machine is built in Székesfehérvár. No subcontractor chain, no outsourced assembly. Quality stays in our hands — and it shows in our references.
Standard milestones, regular status reports, fixed deadlines. If we are running late, we tell you — not on delivery day.
There is no anonymous holding structure behind us. You know exactly who makes decisions — and you can reach them.
Founder and CEO of Nordexa for 30 years. In 1994 he left a comfortable corporate career to found his own machine manufacturing company — since then the team has grown from 11 to 480+.
Before founding Nordexa he gained experience in mass manufacturing processes as chief mechanical engineer at Ikarus Bus. His conviction: "A good machine needs no explanation — it works."
The operational backbone of Nordexa since 2003. Responsible for manufacturing management, quality assurance and the supplier network. Under her leadership Nordexa obtained ISO 9001 — and has maintained it through every audit since.
Previously spent the first decade of her career in process engineering roles at MOL Nyrt's refinery division. She brought the chemical industry's quality mindset to Nordexa.
CEE Sales and Business Development Director of Nordexa since 2008. He opened the Polish, Czech, Slovak, Austrian and Romanian markets — today 60% of orders come from him and his team.
His approach: "We don't sell machines. We conduct on-site needs assessments and, if Nordexa can help, then we propose — if not, we say so." That is why clients return.
Head of Nordexa's engineering division since 2012. Responsible for the design of all custom projects, development of the module library and introduction of new technologies. The current NX-Modular platform is the result of his work.
His PhD was in process automation, completed as part of joint research with BKK (Berliner Kinetik Kraftwerk). He holds five industry patents in dosing technology.
Head of Nordexa's service and lifecycle division since 2005. With 25 years of industrial service experience — Siemens and ABB background — he transformed Nordexa's service from reactive intervention to a preventive system.
He is credited with introducing the 96% uptime guarantee, and the 6-country × 3-service-partner coverage that underpins today's SLAs.
Mechanical and chemical engineers, automation specialists, production technicians and service engineers — all based in Székesfehérvár and the region.

Nordexa's entire manufacturing capacity is concentrated in Székesfehérvár. This is no accident: the city's industrial heritage, the engineering talent from proximity to Budapest University of Technology, and its logistics advantages (M7 motorway, 65 km from Budapest) offer the ideal location.
There is no external subcontractor chain in our factory — everything from component receipt to FAT testing is done by our own team. This may be slower than the outsourced model — but it is precisely why we can guarantee quality.
The first consultation is free and non-binding — our engineers will visit your plant and bring a real solution, not a template proposal.
